This is book four in J Morgan's every expanding world of vampire adventure, and the most fun to date. Filled with Mr. Morgan's trademark humor, and lots of popular entertainment references, this is a rollicking adventure loaded with handsome heroes, intrepid heroines and smarmy villains. Add in dimensional travel and high danger from unknown sources, and it became a must read experience for me.Alejandra `Ale' Montoya is determined to find the vampire who murdered her parents. As one of the Slayer's of St. Joan's, she is well trained and ready for anything, or so she thinks. All Sister Rachelle could tell her is that the vampire responsible was a Ravell, so Ale decides she will just eliminate all the Ravell vampires, thus ensuring she gets the right one. When she actually meets one of the Ravells, however, she discovers that not everything she believes about vampires is true. Her first target, Donatello Ravell, convinces her he is innocent, so she goes after younger brother Eli, determined to kill him. Eli is surprised when an attractive young woman tries to kill him right after meeting him. But he has a mission, and he isn't about to let a little thing like imminent death stop him. When Ale decides to accompany him on his quest, she has no idea of the adventure ahead of her. Nor does she realize that she will find the killer on her travels with Eli, and will also find love with a vampire. Can Ale come to terms with her attraction to a vampire? Can Eli succeed in the mission set before him, after others have failed? Can they both get out of this with their lives, and their hearts, intact?
Alejandra "Ale" Montoya is determined to avenge her parents' death. She is strong, smart and has a smart mouth. She is not ready to admit to her attraction to Eli at the beginning, but as they travel, she sees that maybe she is wrong in her `all vampires are evil' attitude. I enjoyed watching as she slowly came to terms with her feelings for vampires in general, and Eli in particular. She is an interesting mix of innocence and sarcasm, with a lot of courage thrown into the mix.
Eli Ravell is the younger brother, always considered the `screw up' of the family. He is handsome, sexy and determined to prove something to his family, and to himself. He refuses to let a little thing like an attempt on his life deter him from his mission, even if he does think his `assassin' is kind of cute. When she goes along, the attraction between them continues to grow, and Eli discovers what it feels like to love someone. I liked his attitude toward Ale, as he went from baiting her to protecting and caring for her.
As with the other books in this series, the plot to destroy the Vampire/Human truce is at the heart of it all. There are a couple of very big surprises in this one, the main one being who is actually behind it all. I was really shocked at this revelation, and I look forward to seeing what happens in the next book in this deliciously fun adventure from J Morgan. There is a bit of a cliffhanger ending, and I can't wait to see how Mr. Morgan brings things together.

Yeah, Morgan said it. Forget what you heard Vampires. Don't. Glitter!
Book 4 in the Love Bites series shows us another unlikely human-vampire pair out to prevent a catastrophe set to befall earth. It begins with slayer Alejandra Montoya who only knows one thing a Vampire killed her father. Well, both of her parents, actually, and she'll have her vengeance! (I'm sure Morgan would add "in this life or the next"). And the icky vamp that did the killing was a Ravell. Alejandra's not sure which Ravell, so Eli Ravell will have to do. But the charming Eli is insistent that he's innocent. So if he didn't, who did? What ensues is a fast-paced ride that pairs human and vampire as they travel through different dimensions to get to the bottom of both of their questions.
J. Morgan layers each page with gut-busting comedy and the plot twists are outrageous enough to be completely believable. From start to finish it's another fun trip into the lives of vampires and the slayers that love them. Two stakes up for this great series! Can't wait for Book 5!!!
